Site Audit

Because the nature of a good website is change, changes, and those made by several people on a team, can easily introduce bugs that are missed in testing or overlooked.  A good back-up to detecting such issues is to perform a site audit on a regular basis.

 Level 1

 Every page on the site is visited from the site map.  A log entry will be made:

  • Good
  • Critical error: Blank page, blank section of page, error page
  • Questionable issues: Style designs
 Level 2

 In addition to Level 1

  • Check all home pages and ensure all links work
  • Submit all submission forms and confirm recipiet response
  • Click all links on application pages and ensure working order
    • Navigation links are not checked
